The iPad Program in Action at ALEH
ALEH Moriah continues to use assistive technology, offering unique solutions to residents’ communication, educational and recreational activities.
The professional staff uses iPads as technological tools, aiding them to access residents’ inner world, gain a better understanding of their desires, and allow residents to express needs and preferences in instances in which verbal communication is lacking. These extraordinary communicative devices are in use throughout the day at ALEH, at mealtimes, during therapeutic and educational activities, and throughout recreational activities and leisure time.
Thanks to the Slomo and Cindy Silvian Foundation’s donation, 17 additional iPads were purchased during 2018, enabling a significant expansion of the iPad program.
