NOAH'S ARK, A CAR WASH & SPRING CLEANING FOR ALEH!
Sep 2, 2012
Noah Krosnick from Deerfield, Illinois simply loves animals, so it was natural that he wanted to include animals in his tikun olam project in honor of his Bar Mitzvah.
ALEH Negev’s Safari Petting Zoo gives severely disabled people ongoing opportunities to care for animals and form bonds with them, thereby nurturing these feelings and encouraging their expression in their relationships with the people around them.
Noah set about asking relatives and neighbors to help him raise the funds to purchase animals to expand ALEH Negev’s Safari – and achieve he did! At the Krosnik family’s visit to Israel this summer to celebrate Noah’s Bar Mitzvah, they spent a fascinating day at ALEH Negev where they met “Noah’s animals” – including rabbits, parrots, snakes, chinchillas, lizards, and a pony!
And Noah is not the only youngster making a real difference.
All across the USA, kids are choosing to support ALEH, and coming up with original ideas and Bar / Bat Mitzvah projects to raise funding and awareness for special needs children in Israel!
