New York Yeshiva Visits ALEH's Children in Jerusalem
Sep 14, 2005
Led by Rabbi Naftali Besser, a group of some 50 students, faculty, and parents from The Yeshiva of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School visited ALEH’s Jerusalem Center recently. The group was first given an orientation of the center and then shown a video about ALEH’s Negev Project. Afterwards, they split up into groups of 4-5 to visit the children. The groups were taught about the different disabilities among the children they were visiting. They all gained knowledge of the different methods of treatment used by ALEH. The students then helped with the children by playing with them and holding them. The visit lifted the spirits of the students, as well as ALEH’s children. When asked to describe his feelings about ALEH and the work that they do, Mark Goldstein, a parent of student at The Yeshiva of Flatbush responded, “Sometimes words can’t do justice to your emotions.”
