All of our volunteers are exceptional, and we are so proud when others recognize them as such.

Though the COVID-19 pandemic forced so many of the international volunteers at our rehabilitative village in the Negev to return to their home countries, several outstanding young women and men decided to stay at ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran and double down on their dedication to our ALEH residents.  We are especially grateful to Heleen Zielman, Joelle Aalten and Debora Boven, three Dutch volunteers who went above and beyond, month after month, doing everything they could to keep our residents happy, healthy and focused on reaching their greatest potentials.

Last week, the Embassy of Israel in the Netherlands honored the terrific trio at an intimate ceremony at The Hague.  Doron Almog, Chairman and Founder of ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran, joined the festivities via Zoom to thank the volunteers for their selflessness and unwavering commitment to the residents of ALEH.

We are grateful to the Embassy of Israel in the Netherlands for honoring Heleen, Joelle and Debora, and to our friends from Christenen voor Israël (Christians for Israel) for giving them all beautiful gifts that will remind them of Israel, their home away from home.

We love our global ALEH family!
