Every Child Deserves a Summer Experience!
Jun 27, 2011
ALEH’s “Dreams Come True” Camp gives our kids the chance to splash on the beach, enjoy a barbeque, and visit the zoo. It fills the summer with exciting events like special visits from clowns and music shows. And it allows us to take a group of severely disabled kids – wheelchairs, feeding equipment and all – to enjoy some of Israel’s most beautiful sites.
For these kids, who struggle with every basic function, the camp experience gives them the strength to carry on throughout the entire year.
ALEH’s “Dreams Come True” Summer Camp 2011 will operate for 9 weeks, throughout the months of July and August. For the children and their parents, camp is free. ALEH must raise more than $15,000 to give 100 children a summer experience that will have a real and lasting impact.
Special activities include Puppet Theater, ice cream days, drumming circles, music and dance, clown shows, arts and crafts, and beach outings – so popular with residents and staff alike! Mixed in with the fun are activities that strengthen occupational therapy goals, like learning to prepare salad, working with animals, playing in the music garden, finger painting, table games and much more!
Help give Israel’s most severely disabled children a summer they’ll never forget!
