Hi! For my Bat Mitzvah, I want to make a difference in the lives of Israel’s most vulnerable children. I was very moved when I learned out about ALEH, which provides advanced medical, educational and rehabilitative care to more than 750 children and young adults with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities and complex medical conditions. ALEH is their home and their family – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In honor of my upcoming Bat Mitzvah (December 2020), I am running a long-term fundraiser – connecting with family and friends, and offering homemade baked goods on Erev Shabbos and Erev Yom Tov – to raise money for ALEH.
These funds will help ALEH’s residential and rehabilitative center in Jerusalem purchase several urgently needed items: tens of sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) for ALEH’s professional staff to help maintain the center’s sterile environment, a very sensitive electronic thermometer that will keep the ALEH children safe from the Coronavirus by detecting a fever before it becomes serious, a Kangaroo feeder for a young woman my age who is fed exclusively from a feeding tube, specialized toys for two of the facility’s therapeutic play corners, and specialized seating systems for three children with severe disabilities.
Please show all of my friends at ALEH some love by helping me reach my goal of funding this campaign!
