Sukkot is the Festival of Joy, and ALEH’s kids were thrilled to take part in the explosion of song, dance and music that spoke straight to their hearts!
Moriah’s Simchat Beit Hashoeva was a joyous, fun-filled event held in the facility’s beautifully decorated Sukka and expansive lawn. For company, Moriah’s residents invited those closest to their hearts – their families and community friends who share their daily accomplishments.
Colorful helium balloons hung everywhere, balloon hats adorned the children’s heads, and delicious refreshments were in abundance. Two creative workshops found Moriah’s residents working side-by-side with their siblings, as they fashioned decorative flags and pretty jewelry to enjoy for the rest of the holiday.
Enveloping everything was the ongoing music, smiles and laughter accompanied by spontaneous joyous dancing. Together as one, differences and worries fell to the wayside as we all swayed to the rhythm, enveloped in an outpouring of joy and love.
How fitting are the words of our sages: “Whoever did not witness the Simchat Beit Hashoeva has not witnessed true joy in his lifetime.”
