Purim is in the air, the streets are rocking and music and Purim joy can be felt everywhere.
ALEH’s kids deserve to be part of it, too!
Following an ALEH tradition, the children of ALEH Beit Yahalom in Bnei Brak took to the streets in a magnificent Purim Parade. The entire town came to a halt at the sight of nearly 100 severely disabled children, in their wheelchairs and accompanied by caregivers, family and friends, dressed up and parading down the streets in a burst of color and palpable joy.
ALEH’s dedicated caregivers prepared for their charges original costumes representing some of Israel’s biggest companies, including Coca-Cola, Tnuva, El Al, Tambor and Cellcom. Cries of admiration filled the streets at the sight of this very special parade.
The parade began at ALEH’s Beit Yahalom facility and continued through the town until the Ramat Gan Community Center, where a colorful Purim Party was set up for all. Guests of honor were the Mayor of Bnei Brak Rabbi Yaakov Asher; Mayor of Ramat Gan Mr. Tzvi Bar; and Yehuda Marmorstein, Director General of ALEH.
To paraphrase the words of the Megilla: “And the city of Bnei Brak was joyous and happy!”
