A New Stop-Over for EL AL Cyclists
EL AL executive cyclers added a new stopover on their annual 3-day bicycling route from Ben Gurion Airport to Eilat for the benefit of ALEH and Alut.
Students at ALEH Moriah were excited to welcome the EL AL group for the first time, as bicyclers took a break from cycling to play, dance and sing with residents, staff and volunteers. Aviva, one of the group’s champion cyclers and the only woman in the group, summed up everyone’s feelings when she said that stopovers at ALEH instill riders with renewed strength to continue their journey.
From Gedera on to ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran where residents were waiting for the group from EL AL. The Negev rehabilitation village has been a regular layover for EL AL cyclers for the past three years, and this year’s warm reception was no different. Both groups were overjoyed to meet up again and take a spin around ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran’s accessible campus.
EL AL, ALEH and Alut are ongoing partners through the airline’s “Small Change Makes a Big Difference” program, in which travelers donate leftover small change for the benefit of children with severe physical and intellectual developmental disabilities.
Thank you, EL AL, for your ongoing support and friendship. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
